Lorraine, as an online media freelancer/solopreneur, I'm constantly looking for people to give it to me straight about what it really takes to 'make it'. You did just that. REACH! is such an honest account of how you went from zip to success on your own terms. While it's a very personal journey, the Self Reflection Tools and Exercises that you offer at the end of each chapter helped me outline a path for myself. Thank you for this book! Talk about perseverance. If you've ever felt like giving up or quitting, Lorraine C Ladish's book captures how although life may throw us lemons, we don't have to live a sour life for the rest of our lives, trapped by the past. We can pick ourselves up and push through to REACH for a better version of ourselves and a better version of our lives. She did it and shares how she managed to do it all with this super easy read. So check it out and keep reaching for better, because it's out there.
Fantastic read! Lorraine's style of writing is both informative and inspiring, highly recommend for small business owners or someone who is looking to launch their own brand and need some food for thought to get them going.
Full disclosure, I know the author from prior social media events. Even so, I was still moved and inspired by this book. Reinventing is one of my favorite words, and I loved reading Lorraine’s story, most of which to be honest I didn’t know before. This book made me cry a bit (at a Hair salon of all places) but mostly inspired me to continue growing as I kick off a new phase of my life.
I bought "REACH" last week because I was going through a rough patch and I was feeling emotional. I really needed to boost my motivation to keep working in my new life as an entrepreneur and get back on track with the development of my recently launched business. Because of some anxiety and lack of focus, It's been many months since I've been able to finish a book, but this time, I couldn't stop reading this little treasure, that is Lorraine's story, and I was able to finish it in less than three days. A miracle!
I recommend this book to everybody, not only for you but for your loved ones. I'm already buying more copies as a gift for some friends, and I'm waiting for the Spanish version for my mom, who is already asking me about it, after I told her what I was reading about.
Lorraine, I admire you. Thank you for taking the time to write and sharing such an inspirational and brave story. This book is the first item in my new gratitude diary.
This book is a true testimony of perseverance. We all go through rough times in our lives. The important thing is that we don't allow it to consume us mind, body, and soul. Lorraine pushed through and has led as an example for us all. For all those who want to give up and quit, for those who just lose faith, we must remember to continue to REACH for our goals and believe in ourselves. If she can make it, so can we! Great and easy read. It really allows you to think and analyze and I just love the tips.
It's a quick read with a lasting impact. I could have read it all in one sitting, but I had to take a break because it gave me the FEELS big time and with those FEELS came tears. Lorraine's story is unique to her, but there is a sense of universality because we all go through difficult times more than once in a lifetime; times when we feel broken and have to pick up the pieces that are left of us and seek out something new to reinvent ourselves. Her candid story of how she went from struggling to feed her children to achieving her vision of success is inspiring and encouraging. Each chapter ends with tools and exercises that will help you come up with your own definition of success and help you map your way there.
